What does advocacy mean? In definition it means: public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy.
Advocacy in priority neighbourhoods is key to improving the quality of life for all, standing for a cause or policy to keep or remove in a community, as well as engaging and empowering residents to have their voice heard.
The Ford City Neighbourhood Renewal has been working closely with the other United Way funded Initiatives: DWCC-Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative, IGNR- Initiative- Glengarry to Marentette Neighbourhood Renewal, as well as OWE- Our West End and had great success in advocating and delegating on important issues to our residents, neighbourhood or community as a whole.
